Marcia Garceau, Ph.D., MFT, Diplomate, Academy of Cognitive Therapy is a seasoned licensed psychotherapist (MFC45763) with over 13 years of clinical experience. Dr. Garceau holds a doctorate in Health Psychology/Behavioral Medicine and a masters degree in Counseling Psychology.
She also holds an MBA and worked as a senior HR/ORD executive for over 20 years at a variety of large and small corporations prior to her clinical work. Dr. Garceau honed her clinical skills working in a variety of settings including the Cognitive Therapy Institute, Kaiser Permanente, and several community-based agencies. Her broad experiences and interests allow her to work with a diversity of adults, children, couples, families, and groups to provide strategies, tools and solutions to overcome a broad range of psychological, behavioral, relational, developmental, and lifestyle issues. Marcia also coaches and writes about non-clinical issues such as high-performance strategies, stretch goals, living with intention, making a difference, change and adaptation across the life span. She is a passionate animal and environmental advocate, enjoys running, hiking, climbing, traveling, and anything that allows her to be in nature. Recently, she founded Save Orangutans Now www.SaveOrangutansNow.org a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit aimed at preserving all species of critically endangered Orangutans and their ecosystems. Marcia currently lives in San Diego with four delightful rescue dogs . |
